Tales of water
Water for the generations of tomorrow is one of the most important issue’s of today. Children from all over the world speak their minds and tell us about ordinary water in their daily life’s. Television, book, large screen videos, e-learning, all their story’s will be told, heard and seen during World Water Forum IV, Mexico 2006.

Projects
5 Major rivers on different continents will be visited. Five different cultures and five different ways of living in relation to water will be covered. The rivers are:

- Mekong in Thailand
- Niger in Mali
- Pangani in Tanzania
- Zarqa in Jordan
- Tacana at the border of Mexico and Guatemala

Who is
The project was initiated by the Dutch Foundation Tales of Water in 2003.
As from 2005 IUCN coordinates the project and will present the stories during WWF IV in Mexico.

The foundation Tales of Water came to live when photographer Taco Anema and Mario van Zijst, filmmaker, joined forces to rise awareness on the beauty and vulnerability of the planet Earth. Soon the foundation was to be joined by Vic Klabbers, Network University e-learnig specialist.

Mexico 2006
The 4th United Nations WWF will be held in Mexico in March 2006. Scientist, politicians and representatives of NGO’s from all over the world will share their concerns and views on today’s water issues. Our children have to convince them of the importance of being earnest.
