For each river basin a ‘story-line’ will be defined beforehand. The choice for a continent and a specific river basin will be directly linked to the main themes of WWF4 and based on thorough research on the spot. The Millennium Goals as determined by the United Nations, form the backbone of the project.

Two weeks, five governorates and almost one hundred children later, these are stories of the children whose lives are shaped by Jordan’s most polluted river, the Zarqa River.

Amidst water scarcity, industrial pollution, poverty, and lack of awareness, you will meet the children of the Zarqa River, discover their lives and realities, and see the silver lining that only a child can create against a murky backdrop.

The projects that are described in this proposal are selected because they are known projects to the IUCN. The local staff will provide basic material. The project group will do extensive research based on this input. The research is separated into research for each activity. The different teams will work closely together.
