Children
All over the world and from different cultural backgrounds, children tell about their bond with water. This project records their experiences, feelings, ways of seeing and fantasies on the subject of water in daily life. Not to point out that there are problems with water but to show that children in their own lifetimes have their own ways of dealing with water issues. Moreover, to show that water has a function, is a product, and above all, is a vital condition for life.

Tales of Water, a child’s view
To let dry statistics come to life, we invite children from different countries to tell us about their own experiences with water: at home with their families, in schools and where they gather and play.
The choice for a continent and a specific river basin will be directly linked to the main themes of WWF4.

The children’s stories will be recorded by video, photography and text on different levels: micro, child’s perspective, viewer’s perspective, social context and natural surrounding.

The source material will be the basis of a large variety of means of communication within WWF4. This assures that there is a high level of synergy between the main themes of WWF4 and all the different ways they are brought to attention to the audiences. The material will also be used for future projects, which guarantees an ongoing visual and content connection with WWF4.
